Green Garden

Green GardenMorley Williams, the landscape architect of the Palace Restoration, called this a “Privy Garden,” a small enclosed space designed to be seen from the house and for the private use of the family.

Yaupon hedges create an open knot configuration that is accented by Carolina cherrylaurel (Prunus caroliniana). As lush green foliage is the dominant feature, it is truly a garden for all seasons.
